"The Institute of Thematic Gender Studies aims at establishing national and international excellence in research as well as PhD- and Masters Programmes in thematic and post-disciplinary gender research. More than stimulating the production of new knowledges in the area of gender studies, the Institute also aims at increasing the amount of courses and seminars made available to students and researchers. In this way, the Institute contributes to the continuous strengthening of transdisciplinary gender research as a field of knowledge both within and outside of Sweden.
